Calm Mind, Relaxed Body, Let’s go….
I’m so excited to share with you my instant de-stressor. It’s my go to calming fix which instantly makes me more relaxed and focused. I normally do it in the morning as part of my meditation routine as it pumps me with positivity for my day.
Here goes, do it with me now.
Step 1. Close your eyes and think about what is irritating you.
Step 2. Silently say to yourself ‘Calm mind, relaxed body. I can deal with this
Step 3. Smile inwardly to yourself without using any of your face muscles and then allow the smile to spread to your facial muscles.
Step 4. Breath in slowly to the count of five and imagine you are breathing in a relaxing feeling, colour or sound.
Step 5. Breath out slowly to the count of five. As you this, imagine you are breathing out a dull feeling, colour or sound, as you release all the unnecessary nervous tension. Let your shoulders drop and notice your posture become more relaxed.
Step 6. Finally open your eyes and carry on with what you were doing or about to do.
