Here are some key strategic & tactical sales points that you can adapt to your small online coaching business and start making sales.
If you’re not making sales, you’re not doing the following:
- NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO, IT DOES NOT MATTER, IF YOUR POTENTIAL CLIENTS CAN’T SEE IT.
- You’re customers are not mind readers and very few of them have the time or inclination to explore. Find out where they are and get in front of them using your planned tactics.
- If you’ve nailed your ideal client then you know what their pain points are, you know what their struggle is so always lead with this in all your communication and then focus on the results you can get them.
- Tell people clearly what you have for sale an how to get there.
- Position yourself as the leader/expert with the value you deliver.
- Once you’ve delivered the value, then always direct them to a discovery call with you, sales page or blog post or even your online shop. – Always provide the next touch point.
- On your social media profiles, always ensure you have your key sales link – Either to your opt in which then would feed them into sales funnel or link to your sales page.
- If you do a lot of selling from your Facebook group page then always cross promote your group link on other pages and on your personal profile as well as on other social media platforms.
- Do you find Selling icky – So many folks have a stigma or shrink at the mere thought of selling there services because they see themselves shy or think no one will buy from them. Reframe this subconscious belief as you are providing a great service to your client, they need you.
- Remember you’ve dedicated a lot of energy and many hours to your coaching business and its time to go out an let people know about it.
- It’s important to you and better still with your help, your clients can benefit from you and that’s best feeling in the world.

So put a smile on your face, radiate your inner joy and talk passionately about the results your service gets your clients. And don’t get hung up about it – and don’t give up.
- Remember some folks will buy, some won’t, so what, so keep moving, someone else is waiting.
Remember all those successful people you follow have knocked on 100’s if not thousands of doors before they got a sale.
I remember reading Jack Canfield, the famous author and star of the secret received over 130 rejection from publishers before his now famous ‘Chicken Soup for the Soul’ book was published.
- If your gonna be successful your gonna learn to deal with sales rejections.
Remember keep asking for the sale – You don’t ask , you don’t get
- Believe it or not there is a certain formula for selling, especially on a discovery phone call with potential clients.

Always make a connection first
Ask what they are struggling with so you can align your service to their needs
Ask what their dream is – the bigger picture, their goal
Only then ask them permission to introduce your services to them by the way of potentially helping to reach their desired goal.
Then make your pitch
I really encourage to keep this conversation going as sales are going get you to your goal. But overall the key is to keep giving value and keep booking discovery calls and attract your ideal clients to you.
